Caroline Parsons
is proud to be one of the leading Zumba® Education Specialists in the UK. Based in Guildford in Surrey, she arranges and conducts Zumba® instructor training courses in England and Wales, and teaches a variety of programs, including Zumba and Aqua Zumba®.
Caroline has been professionally trained in dance and musical theatre at The Arts Educational School of Musical Theatre, London and has an impressive list of qualifications. Caroline holds an ISTD Associate in Modern Theatre Dance and a National Diploma in Professional Dance Musical Theatre. She has also earned dance certifications in ballet, tap, modern and jazz.
After graduating Caroline worked professionally for a number of years in theatre, TV and film. She has performed in a wide variety of roles including Anita in West Side Story, Cassie in A Chorus Line, Young Stella in Follies and appeared in the opening of The Millenium Dome, London and Stephen Fry’s film Bright Young Things. Caroline’s greatest accolade was appearing as a Principal Singer in the Irish phenomenon Riverdance performing to audiences of thousands in the US, Europe and UK.
Caroline holds specialty certifications in fitness including an OCR certificate in teaching and exercise, a certification in Pilates Matwork from the Pilates Institute, a water fitness teacher’s certification and an aquatic fitness certification from the Aquatic Exercise Association.
As a full-time ZES, Caroline trains ZIN members (Zumba Instructor Network™) within the UK and teaches additional Zumba classes to participants each week, including Aqua Zumba® (a pool based Zumba class) and Zumba® Toning (the Zumba body sculpting class).
First introduced to the Zumba program in 2007, Caroline was amazed at how much fun the class was and decided to get more involved. She signed up for an instructor training course to become a ZIN member, and in Caroline’s words, “It was exactly the class I’ve been looking for – there has never been anything else quite like it!â€
In 2009 Caroline applied for the highly ZES position and was invited to audition for the brand. She attended a full weekend of interviews and auditions in Germany before she was offered the job.
Since then Caroline has been fortunate enough to travel to amazing countries including Russia, Italy, France, Finland, US and Portugal teaching Zumba as well as presenting at UK and International fitness conferences and events. Caroline has appeared in numerous Zumba Fitness videos including presenting Aqua Zumba Vol 12. DVD for ZIN members.
From 2014 Caroline takes on the role as Lead ZES for the Aqua Zumba program and hope to encourage more people worldwide to join in this fantastic aquatic workout.
